Courage

Courage Courage is a big characteristic in all leaders. Winston Churchhill once said, "Courage is rightly esteemed the first of human qualities"¦because it is the quality which guarantees all others."� This statement means that if you have courage, you must have the other good qualities of a leader. Even if you are not very good at something, such as public speaking, if you have the courage to do it, people will listen to you and you will get your point across.

In the entertainment business, entertainers (who are leaders"¦although they are not always good leaders) must have the courage to get up in front of millions of people and perform. I get nervous just getting up in front of a classroom of my peers, let alone an audience of millions.

Courage is especially important with Christian leaders. As Christians, we haft to have the courage to stand up for what is right, no matter what the circumstances.

Wings of Courage

Just because there is not a lot of persecution in the United States at this time, doesn't mean we shouldn't worry about it. We have to be prepared, and when the time comes, all we have to do is ask the Lord for courage, and he will give us the courage and strength to get through anything. All of the reasons I have listed, and many other that I haven't are the reasons why I believe courage is a very important part of leadership.
