Executive Summary

Kudler Fine Foods target audience is comprised of external publics who enjoy specialized and gourmet foods. While gourmet and specialized foods are more expensive and harder to obtain, Kudler will emphasize accessibility of products and affordability to the external public. Kudler will not only be selling their products but also their services by trying to show the public that they are involved in the community and want to be known as the local supplier of specialized foods.

Company Background

Kudler Fine Foods was established in 1998 by Kathy Kudler, she has a passion for gourmet foods and discovered that her neighborhood did not have an adequate selection of products to choose from. In 1988 Kathy's vision of establishing her own gourmet food store became a reality. Kathy Kudler believed that a one-stop gourmet food, shopping experience, with lots of variety and reasonable prices would be successful.

Currently Kathy has opened three stores. Current store locations are the La Jolla location, the Del Mar location, and the Encinitas location. Kathy has plans to grow her business by expanding and opening stores in various geographic locations.

Kudler Fine Foods Strategic Plan

Kudler Fine Food's goal is to be the premiere gourmet grocery store. Kudler seeks to specialize in providing the finest meats, produce, cheeses, and wine. Kudler will need to revise their vision statement, mission statement, and value statements in order to achieve being the industry leader in specialty foods. In this paper I will reconstruct key components; the mission, vision and value statements, all of which play a valuable role in the structure of Kudler Fine Foods strategic plan.
