Gangs of Past, Present, & Future

Over the decades the entire world has seen acts of self importance brought out by kids and even men just trying to fit in to a group or 'click'. Yet sometimes these groups turn out to be a useless and obscene way of displaying violence against others, or even themselves.

An instance of a group such as this would be the Ku Klux Klan. One of the first Ku Klux Klan branches was established in Pulaski, Tennessee, in May, 1866. A year later the same type of organization of local Klan's were established in Nashville in April, 1867. Most of the leaders were former members of our very own Confederate Army.

Over the next couple years the Klansmen started wearing masks, with white cardboard hats and white sheets, and rode around torturing and killing African Americans. They even killed White Americans that were sympathetic for the blacks.

At first the goal of all of the Klansmen was to stop the blacks from voting. Yet over time the Klansmen's hatred grew stronger and at last the goal had changed from keeping blacks from voting, to keeping blacks in slavery!

Many white supremes groups have formed over the present years based off of the KKK factions. Multiple white gangs have been forming in California. Earlier white gangs were formed around motorcycle gangs like the Hells Angels. Today's motorcycle gangs are not seen to be street gangs but, instead, organized crime groups.

The age of the Skinhead gang members varied from early teens to mid-20s. Both males and females belonged to the gang; and their weapons included baseball bats, knives, fists, and steel-toed boots. Skinheads formed as racist gangs and were not territory oriented or profit motivated. Their crimes ranged from vandalism, assaults and murders. Mostly targets...
