Its a valued addition to the site....concise...sources stated...i agree with a social science theory to explain human behavior. Once i did some research into genes and its link with language. Scientists found a gene on chromosome 7 which is called FOXP2 i think...and this has been linked in language acquisition...hence I'm more prone to accept scientific theories to explain things rather than because its just accepted at that or COMMON Sense explains it to be that way.If i watch a lot of violent movies, then I don't want to kill people....or to do the acts portrayed by the movies....its just a form of entertainment. However, if i was severely hurt during my childhood, id want to take revenge on the people that cause me pain....u know? so i agree we have to look at the child's background and so on....Common sense cannot be relied upon for an acceptable explanation, since it would be prone to defects like a hypothesis is just an assumption in scientific experiments and then u get to prove that hypothesis or in the end, the hypothesis can be contradicted.....\Anyways good job and its a good addition ot the site.....

  • Some recommendations...

With Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) and Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC, advanced and end of secondary school examinations, with equivalence to EDEXCEL (GCE - AS A2) and GCSE, the general guidelines for writing experiments is to use present tense excluding the uses of I, He, She or etc. So one might not want to use I's, instead of saying " In the first problem, a, I wrote out the equation given in the experiment", one might want to say " In the first problem, a, the equation was written and was given in the experiment". Also when writing variables, one needs to place them under; Independent, Dependent and Constant and if that is not possible, one might want to use, Measured Variables, Constant Variables and Changed Variables. The ones included are not the only ones. For the conclusion and discussion, one needs to identify the sources of errors and these can be grouped under Random & Systematic. Also one needs to include limitations of the experiment. The theory seems to be well researched and written accurately. Theres nothing wrong with the method, since its sort of a planing and designing experiment. But this experiment is a combination of a planning and designing and a observation experiment, as the experiment is made up with a hypothesis and that hypothesis is tested. Therefore, it is possible to use both present and past tense in the write up....

And there is a well developed conclusion. However, one might want to include statistics to further elaborate or rather exemplify the said article. There are a few negatives, but the positives outweigh them. The mode of discourse, as can be seen, suggests exposition, persuasion and narration.I must say that it is very well researched. Some grammatical inconsistencies are prevalent. But overall it was written quite well!!Continue my friend!!. And i don't want to have regrets either...This should be posted in a newspaper...

I would just like to confer these points briefly: The writing wasn't coherently arranged. It wasn't paraphrased correctly...There were numerous grammatical errors, notably, repetition and redundancy. However, there were some positives; It had excellent manipulation of the English language as well as using diction , language techniques and strategies, such as metaphors and similes...The most important figurative device was the personification, the writer personifies the daisy, for it to dream, this was very well done.Modes of discourse include; exposition and description...there is also narration...but description and exposition is the more predominant...description being the primary mode of discourse....Overall the writing was very well done...However, with respect to the score received, it should have been a bit higher...I would give it a 75%...That daisy sure is smart!!!If you look closely, the writer has brought in some issues...But it's up to your interpretation...Sarhad, I must commend you for this story...

  • Subtle Yet Sophisticated

A very good essay, shows excellent manipulation skills of the English language, more specifically, excellent analysis of the theme of tragedy as was present in the two books. It can be seen very clearly that both books deal very closely or rather intimately with the theme tragedy, which suggests a comparative analysis can be implemented....What i found, however, that was lacking in the story is the use of profuse quotes, that would have facilitated a more vivid representation of the points. There are quotes but not in profuse amounts. The essay has more positives than negatives. It is coherently arranged and each paragraph or phrase gets to the point. There is no beating around the bush. Excellent use of exposition, narration and diction to exemplify various points and ideas. Comments or personal opinions sought to give the reader that reads the essay a fair picture of the novels. There is a well developed introduction which explains the topic at hand. However, i would recommend an introduction to the social and historical background of the novel. There are organized, well balanced arguments with supporting evidence from the novel that really illustrates the points made quite effectively. Also, a well developed and a logical conclusion has been developed. There was a mixture, however, of major characteristics and minor characteristics, this should have been separated..Generally, the theme analyzed was effectively presented. With respect to a grade, the essay deserves: 87 %I'm 17!!
